5/10: But does he blog?

"Dear George,
Long time no talk to. Hope the family is well. I've enclosed 18 pages of suggestions for your regime. Say hello to Laura for me. FF4EVR, Mahmoud"

What could have been a breakthrough in the nonexistent relationship between the U.S. and Iran was probably made worse by letter written from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to President Bush.

While Ahmadinejad's 18-page letter did manage to convince global powers to back off sanctions against the Islamic republic for its nuclear work, its lecturing tone
did nothing to convince this administration to negotiate directly with Iran.

Look for Secretary of State Rice to try to rally the Europeans into new attempts to deal with Iran, but also beware that we may be living through the Cuban Missile Crisis in slow motion.

Of course this "lecturing" is completely foreign to the US and their attitudes toward the rest of the world, how soon we forget condi going to the un and telling them whats going down whether they like it or not, lets be diplomatic when we need diplomacy come on, and for the record the rest of the world would rather Iran have nukes than Israel to have them, Iranians have far more to lose if they used them militarily, why let fear penetrate our reasoning ability

slow motion is right...we won't be in any danger for at least 6 years, and that's the low end of predictions. I think North Korea needs to be looked at before Iran.
